On ‘Ellen’: Adam Levine Reveals The Real Reason He Left ‘The Voice’

Thousands of Fans from “The Voice” were stunned when Adam Levine declared he wouldn’t be returning for Season 17 of the NBC TV show. A few months after the fact, he finally decided to talk about his choice to leave the Show.

“I truly miss it,” Levine said while on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” “I cherish the individuals that I met and worked with, and clearly we as a whole ability I feel about Blake [Shelton].”

“I-I do miss it, but I also don’t miss how much I had to work,” the 40-year-old proceeded. “I was just constantly working for so many years. Very lucky, very fortunate, very blessed, and all that, but just to be able to stop in this moment to spend time with my new young family and just have the greatest time ever.”

Levine wedded to Namibian Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo in 2014, around two years after they initially began dating. Together the couple has two little girls – 3-year-old Dusty Rose and 1-year-old Gio Grace – and they are a piece of the motivation behind why he made a stride once again from the hit singing challenge appear.

“I’m fixated on them. That is to say, I realize that is something to be thankful for in light of the fact that they’re my kids, however that is the reason I don’t do a lot,” he included.

The previous “Voice” mentor may have made a stride once more from TV, however music is as yet a major piece of his life. While visiting with Ellen, Levine examined his band Maroon 5’s new single “Recollections” and played out the tune.

Adam Levine talked with Ellen about why he decided, after a decade as a coach, to leave “The Voice” to become a stay-at-home-dad. Plus, the Maroon 5 frontman talked about Jake Gyllenhaal’s love for Ellen, and opened up about how the loss of his best friend and manager added to the band’s emotional new song, “Memories.”
